This policy explains what information GovBidLens collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect
We collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, company name, services, preferred locations, and support messages. When you sign in, we receive basic account information from ChatGPT authentication. Saved opportunities and certain preferences may be stored locally on your device.
Stripe processes subscriptions and payment details. GovBidLens does not receive or store your complete card or bank-account number. We may also receive subscription status, plan, customer identifiers, and billing events from Stripe.
Our hosting and security providers may automatically process technical data such as browser type, approximate location, device information, IP address, timestamps, and service logs. For abuse prevention, a one-way identifier derived from an IP address may be kept briefly when a support form is submitted.
How we use information
- Provide, personalize, secure, and improve the service.
- Rank public contract opportunities and deliver requested alerts.
- Manage subscriptions, trials, billing access, and customer support.
- Detect abuse, troubleshoot problems, and meet legal obligations.
Service providers and public sources
We use service providers including Stripe for billing, Resend for email delivery, and OpenAI infrastructure for hosting and sign-in. Opportunity data is retrieved from public SAM.gov sources. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy practices. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal requirements. No system is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards.
Your choices
You may update your business profile, cancel a paid subscription through the customer billing portal, unsubscribe from optional marketing messages, or request access, correction, or deletion of personal information subject to applicable law. Local preferences can be removed by clearing this site’s browser data.
Children and changes
GovBidLens is intended for adults and businesses and is not directed to children under 18. We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the revised effective date here.
